Summary
The expectable shortage of fossil resources caused by world wide industrialization and motorization will lead to tendencies in direction of efficient and low emission automotive propulision systems based on sustainable energy supply. The roadmap of future development will show two different directions in parallel. On the one hand the combustion engine inclusive exhaust gas treatment will be developed further, with the aim of reducing the specific energy demand and towards low emissions. In the sector of long distance traffic the combustion propulsion will probably be used for a longer duration in vehicles with high mobility comfort. Biogas and liquid bio fuels of second and third generation can help to improve the sustainability.
Lectures from the International Vienna Motor Symposium can be ordered from the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK). Lectures can only be purchased in the form of the complete conference documents, individual lectures are not available.
When placing an order, please note the year/name of the event (e.g. "45th International Vienna Motor Symposium 2024") for the further ordering process.
Members of the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers have access to all lectures of the International Vienna Motor Symposia.
