The 45th International Vienna Motor Symposium is planned as a 3-day face-to-face event from 24-26 April 2024.

Deadlines for Speakers 2024

31 January 2024:
Submission of the lecture text as a pdf for publication in the symposium proceedings. A template you can find here, opens new window.
Submission of theCV(s) of speaker(s) in German and English. Such CVs should consist of maximum 20 lines, a maximum of 1,500 characters as well as a portrait photograph in a printable resolution (min. 7 by 9 cm, 300 dpi). A template you can find here, opens new window.

12 February 2024:
Registration of the speaker(s). Participation in the Motor Symposium for one speaker is free of charge; the respective participation fee will be charged for the registration of a second speaker.

10 April 2024:
To support the interpreters, we ask that you provide your speech version of your lecture. Our interpreters can prepare for your presentation in advance and optimally translate it simultaneously into German.

24 April 2024:
On the day before the start of the lecture programms, we offer you the opportunity to test your presentation and your computer with the technicians on site in the lecture hall.

Registration and Participation

Price
Participation in the Motor Symposium for one speaker is free of charge; the respective participation fee will be charged for the registration of a second speaker.

Registration for the Motor Symposium
You may register exclusively online via the registration form. Each participant must fill in a separate form.
Speakers will receive detailed information on registration and the registration link in time before the Motor Symposium.

Confirmation of Registration
After completing the online registration, you will receive an e-mail confirmation automatically generated by the registration system that we have received your data. If you do not receive this confirmation, the registration was unsuccessful and we did not receive your data. Please note that this e-mail is NOT a confirmation and does not entitle you to participate in the Motor Symposium. You will receive a confirmation of registration authorizing you to attend the symposium a few days after the registration. We ask for your understanding that processing your registration may take longer due to the large number of incoming registrations, especially at the beginning of the registration period. You will receive all documents exclusively by e-mail.

Replacing a Speaker
In the event that a registered speaker is unable to attend the symposium for whatever reason, we ask you to name a replacement.

Day Tickets / Ticket sharing
There are no day tickets available. It is not possible to share the registration between several people.

Conference Documents
Lecture texts in electronic form are included. Lecture volumes in printed form can be purchased for an additional fee.

Lecture Duration and Lecture Language

Lecture duration: 20 minutes
The following discussion lasts 10 minutes.

Symposium Proceedings

Your lecture text will be published in the Proceedings of the International Vienna Motor Symposium. The lecture texts are written in English.

From the date of the symposium onwards, your lecture will also be available to participants online.

Lecture Presentation

The presentation of your lecture takes place via your own laptop or a laptop belonging to the organizer. We request you to indicate your technical requirements and any additional equipment you may need for presenting your contribution. You will receive further written information in good time.
We ask that the PowerPoint presentation is in English.

For security reasons, it is strongly recommended that speakers bring a copy of their presentation with them (on a USB-flash drive).

Lecture Proposal

Proposals for lectures must include the lecture title, the author’s name and professional title, the name and address of the company as well as an abstract of between 10 and 15 lines. Proposals may be submitted for next year’s symposium by end of September of the current year at the latest. Please submit only previously unpublished contributions, which should not be released for publication prior to the ensuing Motor Symposium.
