Summary

The 4-cylinder engine range for the new MINI was developed in cooperation with PSA under the responsibility of BMW. It now covers 4 different performance levels with 2 different technologies that are used in differing production volumes by BMW and PSA.

Based on this engine family, BMW has now developed a very special highperformance variant with 155 kW / 260 Nm for the new MINI John Cooper Works that will only be used in the MINI.

In this presentation we show the project targets, the necessary modifications on the engine and the achieved results in function and NVH.
