Summary

With its new 1.6l 4V TDI Volkswagen presents an entirely newly developed unit which will form the basis for all future four-cylinder diesel engines from Volkswagen. This latest new diesel unit from Volkswagen, with a 1.6l engine capacity, has been launched just 18 months after the start of production of the 2.0l 4V TDI featuring common rail technology. The key features of the four-cylinder diesel unit are its concerted implementation of measures aimed at improving efficiency and cutting emissions.
