Summary
To ensure the future mobility worldwide and to enable the economy growth especially in the emerging markets the diesel power train will remain the key technology. This will require robust solutions especially for commercial applications. On the other hand, truck and off-road engines are facing significant emission reduction requirements especially with the coming Euro6 and Tier4 legislation. The initial solution for Tier4 will be to achieve the emission reduction by excessive aftertreatment using SCR technology and DPF systems with active regeneration. However, the initial cost, handling and packaging of such systems is a disadvantage for the end user. The biggest potential to reduce the system complexity is to lower the effort on the aftertreatment side. Therefore, further engine-out emission reduction and fuel consumption reduction is required.
Lectures from the International Vienna Motor Symposium can be ordered from the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK). Lectures can only be purchased in the form of the complete conference documents, individual lectures are not available.
When placing an order, please note the year/name of the event (e.g. "45th International Vienna Motor Symposium 2024") for the further ordering process.
Members of the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers have access to all lectures of the International Vienna Motor Symposia.
