Summary
The challenging fuel economy regulations together with more stringent emission legislation can be met only by optimizing the entire powertrain, including optimal coupling with the entire vehicle (e. g. [1]). Customers expect not only the fulfillment of the legal requirements, but also good drivability. To evaluate drivability along the entire development process AVL-DRIVE is used, which calculates objective ratings for a multitude of customer relevant drivability criteria related to subjective perceptions (feel, hear). The interconnection of vehicles with its environment is increasing rapidly. Almost every car manufacturer is investigating autonomous or partially autonomous driving. For 2020 a zero fatality target has been set. Autonomous driving systems capture their surroundings of the vehicle using optical or radar sensors and use those signals to control the driving.
Lectures from the International Vienna Motor Symposium can be ordered from the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK). Lectures can only be purchased in the form of the complete conference documents, individual lectures are not available.
When placing an order, please note the year/name of the event (e.g. "45th International Vienna Motor Symposium 2024") for the further ordering process.
Members of the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers have access to all lectures of the International Vienna Motor Symposia.
