Summary
The newly designed, water-cooled, four-cylinder in-line engine TCD 3.6 with turbocharger and a powerful Common-Rail injection system as well as a highly efficient combustion with cooled external exhaust gas recirculation meets the requirements for emission levels of EU Stage IIIB and U.S. EPA Tier 4 interim. With outstanding characteristics for torque and rated power this engine advances in a power range that could only represented previously from series engines with larger displacement. Different customer-driven requirements for various applications ensure low fuel consumption at high engine dynamic and response. An DVERT® exhaust aftertreatment system with a diesel oxidation catalyst, which could be installed at the machine or alternatively mounted on the engine, enables a fully maintenance-free operation of the aftertreatment system under all circumstances and environment conditions.
