Summary
The new Sprinter generation was introduced in Germany and Europe in 2006. For the growing market in the USA, a successor for the previous 5-cylinder diesel Sprinter was needed to be developed. The emission values allowed in the NAFTA region in the NAFTA07 emissions level have been tightened considerably compared to the previous NAFTA05 requirements. They are clearly below the EUR04 limits and require specific adaptations.
