Summary
The logistics industry is facing a significant challenge: renewing truck fleets to minimise Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while complying with stringent European CO2 reduction targets. Using a strategic transformation plan for logistics companies in the DACH region, the practical implementation and current state of transformation are illustrated by the example of a selected company. The accompanying article to the presentation explores practical experiences with 40-ton electric trucks, along with the development and implementation of electric infrastructure. In this context, operational data of the trucks, energy consumption, charging technology, and charging performance are analyzed. Finally, an outlook on further transformation is provided including accelerators and barriers.
