Summary
For more than a century, Shell has been involved in supporting Motorsport through the development and delivery of innovative and dedicated racing fuels, engine and transmission oils. In collaboration with Shell’s Motorsport partners and factory teams, numerous new ideas have been brought to life in Motorsport and several “firsts” have been achieved over the decades. Such innovations have provided important learnings in the competitive field of racing, which has stimulated Shell’s road fuel and lubricant development in parallel. Over the years, Shell’s focus has been brought to the creation of fuels for high compression ratio competition engines, for sprint or endurance races, optimised on RON/MON octane levels, fast burning and other performance components, but formulated using non-harmful components.
