Summary

In order to satisfy its highly diversified customer base around the world, General Motors’ global powertrain organization has established a network of worldwide partner alliances that provide the automaker with various types of powertrain technology expertise. In addition to these alliances, GM is developing a number of core technologies that can be applied across its powertrain products globally. As a means to meet the variety of automotive customer needs and desires, GM follows a powertrain product strategy which incorporates high-value, high-feature, and image engines and transmissions. Successful application of GM Powertrain’s technology and product strategies will ensure the future of internal combustion engines for years to come.
