Summary

The highest priority target for individual mobility is to avoid locally as well as globally the enrichment or the deposition of pollutants or climate changing substances in the biosphere. At the same time, the sources of fossil energy carriers are limited. Along the lines of natural processes, regeneratively produced primary energy carriers, based on solar energy, must be used in closed cycles of materials. Presumably, sustainable mobility besides electric mobility, because of the required high density of energy, cannot be managed without chemically stored energy. So mainly the realisation of a Zero-Emission-Engine has a high social relevance. Therefore, three main fields of activity have to be worked: • Zero – Emission – Thermodynamics • Zero – Emission – Lubrication • Enhanced Exhaust Gas Aftertreatment
