Summary
One of the most significant trends within the last years represents the accelerated electrification of the powertrain. AVL’s predicted distribution of the level of electrification in the year 2025 shows a focus on Mild-Hybrid Systems with a broad range of implementation as well as on electric vehicles with an integrated Range Extender, mainly for use in urban areas. To obtain the best possible cost-benefit ratio new engine concepts are developed where the emphasis for every design depends on the system optimization i.e. combustion engine, transmission, electric motor, battery and controls are in an optimal balance. This is exemplified based on two concepts..
Lectures from the International Vienna Motor Symposium can be ordered from the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK). Lectures can only be purchased in the form of the complete conference documents, individual lectures are not available.
When placing an order, please note the year/name of the event (e.g. "45th International Vienna Motor Symposium 2024") for the further ordering process.
Members of the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers have access to all lectures of the International Vienna Motor Symposia.
