Summary
With the new 1.8l TFSI engine in the Audi B8 family (A4, A5), Audi launches the 3. generation of the inline four TFSI technology at the market. The engine was revised completely for the attainment of the extremely ambitious CO2 goals and future EU6 emission standards. Additional strategic goals like the availability for use in all markets and the integration into the worldwide manufacturing affiliation of the VW group were taken into account and are furthermore essential component of the EA888 global engine family.
